I wrote the songs, played all the instruments, did all the singing on the album, etc. Two exceptions ... I didn't write the words for the song "Heart of Jesus", and I "borrowed" the chords of the song "Living Faith" from my daughter.

| I Trust In You, Oh Lord |
1995. My first and only worship song. I played this a few times when leading worship at Calvary Chapel. |

| Knowing Jesus |
1993. I'm uncertain when this was written. It was first a song named "Knowing Love". The chorus was "The love of a man / the love of a woman". And I played it with the capo on the 3rd fret -- very high. It has an Eastern music influence. After becoming a Christian I converted the lyrics to a Christian song. I struggled for a long time to find an arrangement that I was happy with. I finally settled on one in 2004. |

| My Rock |
2006. I wrote this while recording this album. It was inspired by a book about the papacy. I wasn't planning to write a song about this topic. |

| It's You, Oh Jesus |
1993. First written before I was a Christian (probably in 1972). I changed the words when I became a Christian. In 2004 I came up with the final arrangement. |

| The Way, the Truth, and the Life |
2007. There was a reading in the Liturgy of the Hours (Office of Readings) by St. Thomas Aquinas. I used it as the basis for this song. I had in mind a simpler recording and production -- it was all taking so long. |

| Return To Me |
2006. I wrote this when working on this album. Inspired by a writing by St. Jerome. |

| Foot of the Cross |
2003. I invented a new genre. An optional intro section followed by a short song fragment. Repeat these sections a few times to make a longer song. I wrote 2 of these. |

| Youth of Today |
1996. I wrote this for the kids in the youth group. It seemed to express their general attitude about life and my wise counsel. |

| It's a Sunny Day |
2000. Written when in North Carolina. I was thinking about the neighbors. |

| Holy, Holy, Holy |
1990. Based on chanting from my yoga days. As a Catholic, it works once again. |

| Sacred Heart |
2004. I got a poster of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and wanted to write a song about it. I purchased a Gretsch electric guitar and wanted to write a song to play lead on. |

| Heart of Jesus |
2006. The lyrics are from a Catholic prayer. I composed this on the spot and recorded it. The recording is loose. I added drums later and tried to get the rhythm to line up. |

| Living Faith |
2006. Inspired by a writing from the Liturgy of the Hours. I recorded one of my daughter's songs and she didn't use the recording, so I did. I merely composed a song using her chords. |
