The following facts and realities should be ingrained into the mind of every teenager and young adult...

  1. For some women, abortion results in long-lasting emotional and psychological suffering.
  2. For some women, abortion results in the inability to have children.
  3. Some women becoming pregnant out of wedlock are abandoned by their lover.
  4. Divorce rates are high.
  5. When oil runs out the population of the earth will decrease drastically.

Each of these topics requires wisdom; decisions made have a lifelong effect.

I am a Christian, but this is not a religious article.

Abortion

This is not an anti-abortion tirade.

The abortion industry is criminally negligent in my opinion by not properly informing women about the effects of abortion.I am no expert on this topic so I ask people to look elsewhere for the facts. I merely wish to raise the questions.

For some women, abortion results in long-lasting emotional and psychological suffering.

For some women, abortion results in the inability to have children.

The human fetus can feel pain after 7 weeks.

Abandonment

I can't begin to imagine the pain and suffering of a young adult woman engaging in sexual relations with the man she loves who then abandons her upon discovering he has impregnated her.

Young adults considering entering into sexual relationship should seriously consider the possibilty of unplanned pregnancy and how they will both react.

Divorce

Divorce rates are high. Consider whether the person you marry is a suitable lifelong mate. Look for the following signs...

  1. Rage attacks
  2. Drug and alcohol abuse; the party mentality.
  3. The skill and education to earn a living for a family.
  4. Commitment to lifelong marriage from religion or other.

Overpopulation

Oil will run out someday. The petroleum industry began in perhaps 1859 A.D. and production has already peaked or will peak within the next decade. When oil runs out the population will decline because the current population level of 7 billion can only be sustained with the energy from oil. These facts should affect the way we think about family size.

When will oil run out? We can find an approximate range...

  1. 2013 A.D. minus 1859 A.D. is about 150 years. If we use oil at the same rate, oil will run out about 150 years after peak oil.
  2. We are using radically more oil now than in the last 150 years; thus, oil will run out long before 150 years, perhaps within 50 years.
  3. Other forms of energy will be available to offset oil but none will offset the energy power of oil. Energy will decrease, not increase.

Population decline is inevitable. We should avoid the following methods...

  1. starvation
  2. war
  3. genocide
  4. abortion
  5. plague
  6. forced euthanasia

The only moral method of reducing population is to do it slowly over generations by having fewer children.

The main point to all this: the children born to you today will live to experience running out of oil.
