Summary
The newest discoveries of science demonstrate that the universe had a beginning about 18 billion years ago. This combined with the Anthropic principle and the evidence for design demonstrates that there is a Designer/Creator who transcends time and space; He is the God of the Bible and desires that we draw near to Him.
The Awe-Inspiring Night Sky Chapter one
Cosmology is relevant in our daily lives.
My Skeptical Inquiry Chapter two
The author's early interest in science and his investigation of the holy books of the world's major religions. Only the Bible is scientifically accurate.
The Discovery of the Century Chapter three
Proof of the 'big bang."
The Matter Mystery Chapter four
Exotic matter doesn't interact with radiation and is difficult to detect.
The Beautiful Fit Chapter five
The "clumpiness" of matter.
Einstein's Challenge Chapter six
The theory of general relativity caused Einstein to acknowledge " the presence of a superior reasoning power." Atheism is proven wrong by science.
Closing Loopholes: Round One Chapter seven
To avoid the need for a beginning of the universe and the resulting need for a creator, the steady state model.
Closing Loopholes: Round Two Chapter eight
The bouncing universe.
Science Discovers Time Before Time Chapter nine
Einstein's equations of general relativity demonstrate that time and space were created in the "big bang." The Creator is therefore outside of time and space. Pantheism is proven wrong by science.
A God Outside of Time, But Knowable Chapter ten
Introduction to dimensions beyond the four of space-time.
A Brief Look at "A Brief History of Time" Chapter eleven
A critique of Stephen Hawking's popular book.
A Modern-Day Goliath Chapter twelve
Mis-applications of quantum mechanics to avoid a Creator.
The Divine Watchmaker Chapter thirteen
The evidence for design. If you found a watch lying on the ground and you examined it you would conclude it had been designed. The universe also appears to have been designed so there must be a Designer.
A "Just Right" Universe Chapter fourteen
The Anthropic principle. The universe is fine-tuned to be "just right" for life. Some conclusions: "A superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology (Hoyle)". "The laws [of physics] . . . seem themselves to be the product of exceedingly ingenious design (Davies)".
Earth: the Place for Life Chapter fifteen
That the galaxy, sun, earth and moon are fine-tuned to be "just right" for life.
Building Life Chapter sixteen
That evolution is woefully inadequate in explaining the origin of life on earth.
Extra-Dimensional Power Chapter seventeen
Examining some difficult concepts about God and some difficult passages of the Bible from the perspective of dimensions beyond the four of space-time.
The Point Chapter eighteen
The Creator has revealed Himself through scientific evidence for a purpose that we will draw near to Him.
