My view on how we should interpret and teach end-time prophecy.

Summary

In my attempt to discover the correct interpretation of the various end-time biblical prophecies, I've studied a variety of viewpoints including premillennialism, amillennialism and postmillennialism. My conclusion is that the correct viewpoint is amillennialism.

That being said, it is my opinion that there is too much emphasis placed on teaching a particular viewpoint when studying the Bible. This page is to give ideas about how to teach without placing undue emphasis on a particular viewpoint.

Teaching Without Distraction

It is my opinion that the emphasis on prophecy with a view to "proving" our pet view is misguided. We should, rather, be discovering what God clearly has to say to us in these passages. How many times have I heard an entire sermon about a chapter in the book of Daniel, Isaiah or Revelation in which:

But certainly there is a wealth of information contained in these prophetic passages that we can all agree on.

As we study prophecy with a view to teaching we should consider:
